Xander is an ER doctor who starts his first job at a busy Chicago hospital. He meets an ultrasound tech named Scott who becomes fast friends with. Kaitlyn finally decides to drop her fiance because of an alcohol problem and some domestic violence. Now she's free to date Scott. Unfortunately, Scott has been close to Annie and feels bad about dumping her. The three of them finally decide on a solution that works for all of them. In a very steamy kind of way.
When Scott suffers a gunshot wound from Kaitlyn's ex-fiance, his life is on the line. Xander is there to help, but he still may not make it.
